There have been numerous debates as to whether or not male fertility supplements are really effective. There are already dozens of brands available at your local drugstore and can be purchased easily. Motherhood may be considered as the pinnacle of a woman’s life, for men, fatherhood does the same thing. Unfortunately for some men, having a baby is not that easy. There are some men who are unfertile for a lot of reasons, and this can affect a person emotionally and mentally. A man’s self esteem gets affected too once they learn that they are unfertile.

These supplements are used widely to increase the chances of getting a woman pregnant, but these male fertility supplements do not guarantee a positive result after taking one or two tablets.

What can one find in a male fertility supplement?

These supplements contain a lot of nutrients, which can help boost the chances of getting a man’s partner pregnant. But what all these medications have in common is the ingredient L-Carnitine. A lot of studies have shown that L Carnitine can improve sperm count and motility. Male fertility supplements also contain Vitamin E, B, and C which are really helpful when it comes to sperm genetic integrity as well as sperm production and functioning.

Other factors such as Folic acid and Zinc also help in sperm motility, or the capability of the sperm to move and swim towards the egg.

The easiest way to get all these is to buy those supplements at the local drugstores, but taking them separately in your multi vitamin capsules can also be helpful.

Effectivity of male fertility supplements

The only person who can prove if male fertility supplements work is yourself. Realistically, if you take any type of fertility supplement it won’t work overnight. You have to take a pill almost every day, depending on what your doctor recommends, and do this three to four months.

If you are not so sure with a certain brand of supplement, you can take these meds, which can be purchased at the generic area of the drug store:

1. L-Carnitine. This is said to be the main component of most male fertility supplements. L-Carnitine helps to regain normal sperm function. One should take at least 3 or 4 grams of L-Carnitine daily or as otherwise suggested by your doctor.

2. Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and should be taken twice a day, with 500 mgs per dosage.

3. Vitamin E. Just like vitamin C, Vitamin E is also an antioxidant and helps improve the ability of the sperm to impregnate. This should also be taken twice, 400 IUs per dosage.

4. Flaxseed oil. Flaxseed oil contains essential fatty acids which help in sperm motility and should be taken only once a day, 1 tbsp only.

5. Coenzyme Q10. Some women usually use coenzyme q10 to avoid wrinkles as they age, but for men coenzyme q10 helps increase sperm count and improves sperm motility.

6. Zinc. For a healthy male reproductive system and improved sperm motility, 15 mgs. Of Zinc should be taken twice daily.

Taking note of all these male fertility supplements can be a little tiring, which is why most men prefer buying the all in one supplement, wherein all these, and more can be taken in just one pill.
